Here are what you should know about HRD Corp initiatives in 2023!

As we draw the curtain on 2022, we are proud to announce that we will roll out more initiatives to create an even larger pool of skilled Malaysian workforce.
Here are our four (4) key priorities in 2023:
1. Ease of Doing Business
We are simplifying our grants application process for all training programmes under the HRD Corp Claimable Courses scheme. From 9th January onwards, employers will only need to make a self-declaration for all documents submitted. This will enable the system to do a preliminary appraisal of the submission and provide conditional approval. This process will reduce waiting time from 48hrs to 24hrs.
2. Future-Proofing our Training Ecosystem
HRD Corp will introduce 6 bootcamp-style training programmes for 600 of our most active and high-performing trainers and TPs from Feb 2023 onwards. These trainers and TPs will learn from some of the best coaches and instructors. The focus includes Building Essential Skills for Training Providers (BEST).
We are also strengthening our Trainers’ Development Framework to create a pool of highly competent trainers.
3. Decentralisation of Services
We have begun empowering our branch offices by grouping them into regional offices. These include the Northern Region Office in Penang, the Southern Region Office in Johor, the East Coast Office in Pahang, and also offices in Sabah & Sarawak.
Our regional offices will solve issues for Employers and TPs in their region which covers grants submission, processing and approval.
We will also offer the training rooms in some of our branches to Trainers and TPs at minimum cost.
4. TPs Collaboration
As an organisation with a vast network of higher learning institution partners worldwide, we are happy to act as a bridge between these institutions and our TPs.
To that end, we will be linking both parties up so that they can create and offer new programmes.
The four (4) initiatives outlined above are just the start. We look forward to introducing more programmes in the coming year, and we hope you will work with us to make them a success.
