Scheduled Waste Management

EQ (Scheduled Waste) Regulations 2005 (Amendment 2007) states that every waste generator shall ensure that all his employees involved in the identification, handling, labeling, transportation, storage and spillage or discharge response of scheduled wastes attend training programs. This course is specifically designed to provide a comprehensive knowledge on overall management of scheduled waste, as required under the law in order to ensure that the generated scheduled wastes are properly managed, in compliance to legal requirements, with minimal environmental impacts

Job Experience Work Experience And Consequential

Mohd Shaharuddin Abdul Latiff is a HSE Consultant and Trainer with more than 21 years of working experience. He specializes in providing training and consultancy services, especially in industrial safety, industrial hygiene and environmental protection field. He served for various type of industries such as petrochemicals plants, chemical specialty plant, plastic & rubber based industry, automotive industries, pulp & paper manufacturings, woodworking industries, electroplating and electronic plant, steelmaking industries, food & beverage industries, industrial paint manufacturing, utilities provider for water & wastewater treatment plant and construction industries.

He frequently invited to give lectures at NIOSH and University Kuala Lumpur on topics concerning HSE. He also involved as an academic advisor for Environmental Technology Program under Faculty of Applied Science,UiTM and co-supervisor Final Year project related with cleaner production, Lean Manufacturing, industrial hygiene, safety engineering and environmental protection with UiTM Shah Alam. He also invited as Panel Judge for a few academic competitions related with HSE science and technology. He has been appointed as Panel NOSS Expert for development of training skill program for Industrial Effluent Treatment System and Scheduled Waste Management by Department of Skill Development, Ministry of Human Resources.

Shaharuddin formerly was registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH and also as an Assessor for Chemical Health Risk Assessment, Competent Person for Monitoring of Noise Exposure at Work, and as an Industrial Hygiene Technician for both fields of testing and examination of Local Exhaust Ventilation and Chemical Exposure Monitoring. He also formerly registered as Radiation Protection Officer with AELB. With these multiple competencies, he had successfully conducted a great number of assessment and monitoring projects throughout Malaysia.

As a trainer, Shaharuddin has been actively conducting various training on legal compliance and cost saving project. He has vast experience in conducting training and providing consultancy to guide companies in implementing OSHA & EQA Legal Compliance, Chemical Safety (Compliance to USECHH 2000, CLASS 2013 and RoHS-WEEE), Emergency Response, First Aids, Green Productivity, Green 5S, ISO 14001 EMS and OHSAS 18001 for various types of industries in Malaysia.
